1) Get your neighbour to complete your Data Collection Form to decide what kind of film they would most like to see

Main Course

2) Add the following details to a Spreadsheet and decide where you will spend your budget

– Acting quality (per day)

Excellent = £500

Good = £300

Average = £100

Amateur = £20

Volunteer = £free

– Film length

20 minute short = one day

1 hour episode = 5 days

2 hour feature film = 21 days

– Distribution method (where your audience can see it)

Online = 1 day to publish

DVD = 1 week to publish

Television = 1 month to publish

Cinema = 6 months to publsih

– Quality of Special Effects

Thunderbirds = No effect

Doctor Who = all totals x 1.5

Star Wars = all costs x 2

– Quality of story

Poor – Any actor

Medium – At least average actor, +2 weeks to publish

– Film genre (type of film)

– Marketing Budget (Advertising)

Leaflets = £100

Local Newspapers = £1000

National Newspapers = £10,000

All mediums (including Happy Meals) = £1,000,000

It will help you to use formulae and colour coding.
