Blogger Migration Complete

Sunday, 23-11-08 by mrchenery

I’m back, Blogspot/Blogger was ok, but I missed how reliable WordPress is. It’s hard to put into words but I suppose Blogger is like a PC (does loads, pushes the envelope) whereas WordPress is like a Mac (does what it does really well).

Plus all the nice comments from ex-students keep pulling me back here. Thanks everyone, it’s nice to know I wasn’t completely useless as teacher ;) .

Hi all, I have moved and taken a few articles with me to my new host…

http://mrchenery.blogspot.com/

WordPress.com has been a great host for the last few years, but my love affair with Google now continues with this migration to Blogger. If I ever need a good quality, ad free host I will most certainly be back, till then cheerio.

Moving host

WordPress Move

After several years with WordPress, I feel it’s time to move to another blog host. I’ve have had a pleasant time with WordPress. It has developed well as a clean (ad free), reliable host and was perfect when I had to worry about my young audience and professional role.

However now I am freed from those shackles of oppression I am looking for more opportunities with my views, how I display them and how I interact with my audience (i.e not just editing inappropriate comments to make them funny).

As with many of my web needs, Google seems to offer what I am looking for with Blogger and I shall soon be moving there.

I look forward to collaborating a bit more with my audience and being able to speak my mind.

Summer’s out for School

Monday, 1-09-08 by mrchenery

As much as I miss teaching my heart is lighting up with mischeivous glee this week.  Every time I see the ‘Schools Out’ Mastercard video (see below) a little devil pops up on my shoulder and a grin pops up on my face.

It always tickles me when seasonal adverts are slightly out of season as this one almost certainly is, as all my lovely teaching buds are almost certainly getting ready to knuckle down for another term on the rollercoaster ride that teaching is.

All the best for this week everyone, whether you are one of my charming ex-students or one of my underpaid, overworked and underappreciated ex-colleagues.
